To our valued clients: March 23, 2020
We have been so blessed to be a part of your preparation for so many various musical auditions and performances for the past five years. The Callback Company exists to empower young performers by providing them unique and inspiring opportunities through experience, exposure, and expertise with academic and Broadway professionals. Building confidence through coaching is our ultimate goal.
As we navigate this time of uncertainty, we know there are still auditions to give and performances to enjoy. As our local community has been especially affected by the Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19), we are aware of the anxiety everyone is experiencing, but also the sadness of cancelled performances.
In our secondary and collegiate programs, new technology is allowing us to meet online for private and group lessons and rehearsals. Have you seen YouTube videos of Eric Whitacre’s virtual choir? Now, more than ever, we are pioneering new ways to make and share music! There are brilliant online dance classes and resources for live viewing of Broadway musicals and operas performances worldwide. Through the Callback Company, online coaching is available through Facebook video messenger and Zoom. There are other platforms to try but the most important thing is keeping up your progress.
If you prefer face-to-face meetings, we are offering the Callback Company Performing Arts Studios. We have adopted very strict modifications for increased safety for all. These measures include:
Sanitizing all surfaces – from the door handles, chairs, sink and toilet, to music stands and stage. Even the piano keys are wiped down with CDC/Steinway recommended 3% hydrogen peroxide.
Safe distancing – Singers will have the entire 13’X8’ stage which is 8’ from the piano. We are also maintaining a strict four-person limit per studio usage. While our comfortable sofas are now off limits, there are four sanitized folding chairs for your rest.
Reservation limiting - Only one morning and one evening reservation of the space per day. This is to give us time to adequately sanitize between reservations. The office is curtained off for supervision.
We hope that offering this space will also help performers who want to video or Live Feed their performances using our tuned Steinway grand piano and high-speed internet.
In the event Georgia becomes a “shelter at home” state, the studio will postpone all reservations.
Most of all, we want to share our hope that this virus is mitigated quickly and that a cure is found. All healing comes from our Heavenly Father through Jesus Christ. We believe that God is in control. We are so grateful for the opportunities you have given us to coach you and to cheer you on through anxious performances. We pray for your peace and encourage you to keep working on your music and your monologues. He has given us many gifts and talents that we can share to Let our Lights Shine!
