FAQs - Broadway Days

What is Broadway Days?
Broadway Days is fully immersive Broadway-prep experience, with two jam-packed days of masterclasses and talk-backs with Broadway stars -- as well as a showcase for casting directors and academic with feedback. When you register for both days, we’ll include a free ticket to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on Broadway, including a backstage tour from cast member Jared Bradshaw.

Can I just participate in one day of the event?
Yes, you can choose to participate in either Thursday or Friday’s events if you wish. If you want to participate in the showcase, you’ll need to select Friday. The single day price doesn’t include the performance of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, so the full two-day event is definitely the best bang for your buck.

What do I need to do to prepare for the showcase?
You’ll need to prepare two contrasting 16-bar song cuts. Bring the sheet music for two complete and contrasting songs, and we can help you find your best 16 bars and cut it appropriately. Monologues are not required but welcomed if you desire to work on it.

What makes a showcase so valuable?
Showcases are opportunities to show your work in front of industry professionals who might not otherwise have the opportunity to see you.

Does the registration fee include the cost of travel?
Registration Fees do not include travel, food, or accommodations. There will be participants who have traveled into the city and those who live there already -- all are welcome!

Who is leading the workshops?

All workshops are led by current Broadway actors, singers, dancers and music directors. On Thursday, masterclasses will be led by Arbender Robinson (In Transit), Linedy Genao (On Your Feet), Lora Lee Gayer (Holiday Inn), and dancer Boe Wank. On Friday, you’ll get to learn from Lindsay Northen (Wicked) and music director Michael Dansicker. Friday will also include the showcase performance.

Am I too old/young/inexperienced to benefit from Broadway Days?
There is no age limit or requirement, nor any experience level expected. We want to meet you where you are and provide individualized feedback to help you grow as a performer!

Do you offer scholarships?

No, but we have affordable financing options (by request), as well as discounted rates available now!
